On Using Hugin

On popular request, here are a few suggestions how to make best use of Hugin for stitching your panoramas. You probably should have read some of the tutorials at Hugin's web site before reading these suggestions.

I have done some 360 degrees panoramic photos. My problem was with hugin (although the output is wonderful), that it is not truly 360 degrees, so opening the final photo (something 12000x2000 pixel) in gimp and trying to place one part of the image from left to right, it is not seamless, can see with eyes that there is a line the color is not the same, and the photo is not continous.

Any idea of this?

Here is a low-resolution version of the panorama:

I have found a costum made program to correct the colors before hugin and enblend, so the output is not blobby. If you interest for it, I can post the source code.

Khiraly: You might have to do the enblend step manually and pass "-w".

> To remove them, open the seperate tif files before feeding them into enblend into Gimp and cut away the things you want to remove from all but one of these images.

When removing objects from images, I recommend resynthesizer to get a good starting point before the manual work.
